Wednesday Food Distribution

Wednesdays between 4:15 – 5:30pm
 
What we do: We partner with the Northern Illinois Food Bank to offer a drive-thru food distribution where you can receive a box of food: including meat, produce, and pantry items.
 
Who we serve: All are welcome to come and receive a box. At Holy Apostles!
 

Community Kitchen Meals

Mondays 5:00 – 5:30pm
What we do: We offer a drive-thru community kitchen meal on Mondays between 5pm – 5:30 pm. Meals must be reserved in advance. If there are extra available meals, you can receive one that day.

Who we serve: Everyone! To reserve a meal, please come to the Church on Monday between 5-5:30 pm and our volunteers will assist you. At Holy Apostles!

Catholic Charities

What we do: We provide community counseling, bilingual outreach, unplanned pregnancy services and emergency financial assistance such as rental and utility for low income persons or others in need. Also serve as a referral source for other community resources.
Who we serve: McHenry County/Catholic Diocese of Rockford residents who are low income, disabled or otherwise in need of services.

Keeping Families Covered

Diapers are provided for children up to age 3. Pull-ups are provided for children up to age 4. Incontinence products are provided for seniors and disabled adults (65 years old and up). Alexander Leigh Center for Autism

Our school works each day to meet the individualized needs of each of our students. We help them develop life skills and vocational opportunities with a goal of successful adult life experiences. We grow along with our students and plan for their future and ours. Our vision is to create strong community relationships and partnerships that provide job training and help to secure employment for our students. Safe Families

What we do: Provide temporary child placements with authorized host families for families in crisis or duress.
Who we serve: Children of Families (single-parent or couples in duress) experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, medical emergencies or other health-related issues, treatment or acute incarceration, etc.
Eligibility requirements: The Host Family volunteers go through an authorization process of training, home study, background checks, etc. and the custodial parent of those children in placement sign a short-term guardianship and power of attorney for health care to the host family.
