We prepare for these two sacraments in the second grade. The whole year is spent focusing on these two sacraments and the Sacrifice at Mass. If a child is registered who is in 3rd grade in school and has not received these sacraments, they will be put into second grade class for the year. The following year as they continue their religious education they will go into fourth grade with their school age group.

Students 4th Grade & Older
Students grades 4 to 12 who have not received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and/or Eucharist are required to attend supplemental classes on Wednesday from 5PM — 6:15PM in addition to their grade level Religious Education classes. For example, a 6th grader would come to religious education classes on Sunday, or Tuesday nights for 6th grade materials. They would also come on selected Wednesday nights for preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion. Students will be placed in groupings by age. Contact the Family Faith Formation office for more information.
There is a retreat for parents and students held on a Saturday morning for each of the sacraments. This is a time of story telling, interaction with Father Paul, practice for the sacraments and a special meal.
Celebrate the Sacraments
There are options of days and times for both of the sacraments. Forms are mailed to the parents and they may choose which day and time they wish to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist as a family.
