August 9, 2014 –
The McHenry Area Hearts Afire Ministry along with the area Roman Catholic churches invite you to celebrate the message of Divine Mercy with Fr. Michael Gaitley, best selling author of Consoling the Heart of Jesus, Fr. Chris Alar, and the Marian Missionaries of Divine Mercy.
The event includes working with a team of Marian Missionaries who will lead activities of sharing acts of Divine Mercy within the community, door-to-door evangelization with Fr. Gaitley and Fr. Alar, perpetual adoration, community prayer and a fellowship gathering at the Parish. The evening will conclude with sharing and witnessing of the day’s events and a special talk from Fr. Gaitley and Fr. Alar.
Acts of mercy in the community (such as visits to nursing homes, adoration, praying the rosary) and door-to-door evangelization begin at 9 AM. The Divine Mercy chaplet will be prayed in song at Holy Apostles at 3 PM and confession offered at 4 PM. Fellowship will begin after the 5 PM Vigil Mass. Everyone is invited to participate in any of these events and there is no registration required. For details, email Barb Haffner at email@example.com. There is no admission fee but donations to the mission will be gratefully accepted.
